Tulip Maja

The elegant Tulip Ballade is loved for its shape, but the unique purple colour, accentuated by a pure white edge, completes this beauty. Because of the firm flower the colour is different from other purple tulips and is therefore great to combine with yellow, white or orange tulips. Introduced in 1953 and granted an Award of Garden Merit in 1993.

The best purple tulip in the world is Tulip Negrita. The shape of the flower is absolutely beautiful and the colour is almost magic. The deep purple consists of several hues and can be combined with almost every other colour. Negrita flowers in mid season and therefore can be combined with tulips, but also with white daffodils.
