The strenght of Tulip Purissima comes from the botanical bloodline which flows through her veins, therefore the name means "purest" in Italian. This winner of the Award of Garden Merit by the RHS has exceptional strong qualities and is a long bloomer in mid April. Regognized by the huge and elongated tangerine flowers with some green marks. | Tulip Red AlertFound in 1999 as mutant of Tulip Orange Emperor, so has all charactaristics of a strong tulip. Tulip Red Alert is, of course, red, but has also the same greenish yellowish flame from his father. The flower is quite large and flowers for weeks. The name of Tulip Red Alert was inspired by the computer game Command and Conquer: Red Alert which was released just a few years earlier. |
